It turns out recording a holiday song is like opening a Christmas tin of Quality Street chocolates — you can’t stop at just one.

So it was for Halifax singer-songwriter Linda Brooks, who recorded her first ode to The Most Wonderful Time of the Year, titled This Christmas, during her first visit to Nashville two years ago.

With a video posted on her website and YouTube, the song of sharing peace and love soon spread around the East Coast and beyond, and after releasing her collection of original tunes The Upside in 2012, she realized This Christmas was as lonely as Charlie Brown’s tannenbaum and needed a proper home with some other seasonal tunes.
